This article introduces the story of Kim Min-a, CEO, who discovered God's will through her experience studying in the United States and carries out the mission of serving as a bridge between the United States and Korea.
Based on the founding spirit of America and Christian values, she conveys the message that American politics should be viewed and guided by the right policies and politicians.
The Build Up Korea 2023 event aims to foster the next generation of Korean-American leaders and establish a Christian worldview, working to restore the founding spirit and identity.
Why does the Lord give His true children the opportunity to study abroad in the United States and guide them? He is examining His will.
Kim Min-a, CEO of Build Up Korea, introduced today, said that she discovered God's will while studying abroad in the United States, and that this mission became her vision, and as she saw it acting as a bridge between the United States and Korea, she realized that if you seek God's kingdom and righteousness first, God will fulfill His will.
While there may be various other missions for giving true children the opportunity to live in the United States, I introduce this because the Lord might also want this kind of mission.
Freedom is not free
An inscription on the Korean War Memorial in Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States
Just as the Lord shed His blood on the cross to atone for our sins (Leviticus 17:11, Ephesians 2:1-5, Hebrews 9:12), following the way of Jesus will surely be met with hardship and suffering. However, because there is hope of light, life, and resurrection, children who realize this will silently walk that path, and they will also pass it on to their children through their lives.

You Need to Understand America to See the World

‘Politics’ is a very important element of society, even for Christians! -
You immigrated to the United States in the 6th grade of elementary school. What was your experience like in your home, school, and church life?
When I first came to the United States to study abroad, I stayed with a host family away from my parents. It wasn't easy for a young child to leave my parents and attend school and live at home. As an only child, I had to adapt to living with others and develop my independence.
In Korea, I was a top student in elementary school and always received recognition. However, in the early stages of my life abroad, I struggled to make friends and get good grades due to the language barrier. During this time, it was my ‘faith’ that gave me the greatest strength and motivation.
When I was around 15 years old, I attended a youth gathering of a missionary group during summer vacation in Korea, and I encountered God personally. Although I was a cradle Christian, I had been a Sunday Christian, and my first passionate encounter with God was an unforgettable moment. My life began to transform completely.
What led you to become interested in politics as a young Christian leader?
I disliked politics. I thought it was absolutely none of my business, and I lived that way for nearly 30 years. However, starting with the COVID-19 pandemic, through my YouTube channel, which I started as a hobby, I gained 130,000 subscribers through the 2020 US presidential election content that I uploaded daily at the time. An unexpected number of people gathered on my channel, and I started to wonder what message or information I should share with these precious souls whom the Lord had attached to me.
I continued to upload content about the US presidential election, and as I spent over 10 hours a day digging into every news outlet to create my videos and study American politics, I discovered that the Lord's mission was right here. The United States is a beacon of freedom built on God's Word and values, but Satan is subtly infiltrating areas like culture, politics, and economics in an attempt to undermine the values upon which America was founded. Around this time, I learned that these values were primarily being attacked by mainstream media outlets in the US and Korea that spread corrupt and anti-Christian ideologies and messages. From then on, I pondered what I could do for God's kingdom, and I resolved to use the YouTube channel I started to teach people how to view the world's trends from the perspective of God's kingdom.
How should Christians view American politics?
Before looking at American politics, we need to look at the founding and founding spirit of the nation, which is built on the foundation of the Word. The United States is a country that the Puritans first set foot on after a life-threatening journey for religious freedom, and it is a country that gained independence after a bloody war of independence to find greater freedom from British colonial oppression. It is also a country of ‘freedom’ that shed the blood of its citizens to abolish slavery and achieve freedom. In short, it is a nation that shed blood for true ‘freedom.’
As stated in the American Declaration of Independence, all of this corresponds to the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that the Creator has bestowed upon citizens. As America prospered and achieved freedom based on these values, Satan has attempted to destroy them in various ways. Especially in this era, when looking at American politics, we need to discern the flow of time beyond simply supporting certain politicians or policies. First of all, the best way to discern the times and circumstances is to study and access proper information and news.
Once we understand the flow of time, we need to cultivate a perspective that allows us to view each policy and politician based on God's Word. Scripture says that true wisdom and understanding are found in knowing the Holy One. The Lord has given us authority to rule over this world. Therefore, through the wisdom and understanding that come from knowing the Holy Lord, we must discern and ultimately rule over this world and the times.
Please introduce MKim TV, which you operate.
MKim TV is a platform that provides information by viewing and interpreting American politics from a Christian conservative perspective. MKim TV continues to provide regular updates on American politics, society, and foreign affairs.
Please introduce the Build Up Korea 2023 event, which you hosted for the first time in Korea.
Build Up Korea 2023 is the 1st Korea-US Joint Next Generation Conference, and the first US-style political and educational conference held in Korea. It is a forum where the next generation takes center stage to discuss how we should view the United States, Korea, and the entire world through a Christian worldview.
In particular, instead of well-known Korean speakers, leading pastors of the largest Christian movement in the United States, former Republican congressmen, and US Deputy Secretaries of State will participate and give lectures in English.
Politics is a very important element of society. Policies are made through politicians, and ultimately, the direction of the nation is shaped. Through Build Up Korea, we can recover our founding spirit and identity to foster good citizens and wise politicians.
Please share your favorite Bible verse and a message of encouragement for Korean-American Christians.
My favorite Bible verse is ‘But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well’ (Matthew 6:33). When we read this verse, we often focus on ‘all these things will be given to you as well.’ Matthew 6:33 is a verse that I discovered as I prepared for Build Up Korea 2023, experiencing and finding how God provided for our shortcomings, whenever and however.
Although I am still in training, it seems that whenever our hearts become closer to God's heart, when I become empty, and when we can share and desire what He wants, that ‘unity of heart’ allows the Lord to always add everything without lack.

Don't conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Romans 12 2. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
