South Korea: Waging a Fierce Spiritual War

President Yoon's Impeachment Trial Verdict: 11:00 AM, April 4th

Constitutional Court to announce verdict on President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment trial on April 4 at 11:00 AM

The Constitutional Court has announced that it will decide on the dismissal or reinstatement of President Yoon Suk-yeol on April 4th.

This is 111 days after President Yoon was impeached on December 14th of last year. The verdict comes 38 days after the closing arguments on March 25th and the commencement of the judges' deliberations.

Until now, there have been signs of extreme division in South Korean society, indicating the potential for national collapse.

If the Constitutional Court's ruling on April 4th results in the president's dismissal, the nation will eventually find a path to recovery, even if there is some initial turmoil. However, if the ruling is dismissed or rejected, many people anticipate and fear even more severe unrest than the May 18th Gwangju Uprising.

Since the December 3rd emergency martial law incident and leading up to the Constitutional Court's ruling on the presidential impeachment, citizens have witnessed extreme corruption surfacing, the weakness and cowardice of the so-called elite, and the silence of the church, leading to extreme right-wing religious groups' propaganda. This has exposed South Korea's weaknesses on the international stage.

What truly constitutes justice and common sense? We have entered an era of self-reflection and soul-searching.

In the Old Testament, during the reign of King Ahab of Northern Israel (reigned 874-853 BC), Queen Jezebel (daughter of King Ethbaal of Phoenicia) abandoned the commandments of the Lord God and worshipped Baal, indulging in prosperity. She interfered in politics and is depicted as seeking to kill Elijah, the prophet who dared to criticize her at the time.

The first lady of a nation became obsessed with sorcery, using and manipulating it for political gain, and trying to conceal everything through deceit. In the Bible, such a deceptive being is called Satan. If a person is controlled by this Satan, they inevitably become extremely evil. Therefore, the existence of such a Satan cannot be understood or confronted with ordinary human common sense.

The Korean church, captivated by material growth, has departed from the word of truth, light, and life, failing to fulfill its role as a beacon of light. This naturally allows the forces of darkness and the presence of Satan to flourish. Since human hearts are inherently corrupt, without being armed with the word of life, they can be easily corrupted and tempted by the forces of darkness.

While South Korea has risen to become a top-ten global economic power through economic growth, the inner world of people's spiritual lives has been quite different. The wealthy seek to protect their wealth, and those in power—in politics, law, and media—collude to protect one another.

This national emergency has exposed these issues to all citizens. In a way, it's fortunate.

The Book of Ephesians in the New Testament states the following:

Ephesians 6
12. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Interpreting and confronting the crisis facing South Korea from a spiritual perspective, following the words of Ephesians and putting them into practice would be a wise approach to resolving this crisis.

Therefore, however weak I may be, I pray that the Lord will have mercy on South Korea, the Korean people, and the Korean church, purifying them until the Israeli people fully return to the Lord Messiah, so that they may have a positive influence on the nations of the world.

Toward the end of last year, I had a dream, or rather a vision. In it, President Yoon was standing in front of a blackboard as a lecturer in a small room at an academy, with several students seated. Simultaneously, steam rose from the heads of these students toward the ceiling. It was similar to the steam a steam locomotive emits when starting or accelerating.

This was instantly interpreted as their souls departing. So I thought that perhaps their reign would end after some time.

To use another analogy, in the summer, kudzu and other weeds aggressively grow, enveloping surrounding plants and trees, preventing them from receiving sunlight and weakening them to the point of death. However, in late summer or early autumn, these weeds lose their vigor and strength. This is why people often engage in weeding and grass-cutting before the Lunar New Year's harvest festival.

Since a spiritual war is currently underway in South Korea, we must pray that the Lord will first break the power of the satanic forces governing this nation. Once their power is broken, discerning people in this land will resist and overcome these evil forces, leading to a thorough cleansing.

Sadly, South Korea needs to learn from its negligence in moral and historical education in homes and society, and the church must thoroughly repent.
