  • From the perspective of the atomic world, life and death are a cyclical process.

The human body is a very complex and sophisticated organism, biologically composed of basic units called cells. Numerous cells are organically interconnected to maintain life activities.

From a physics perspective, the human body is a mass of matter composed of numerous atoms and molecules. All life activities are ultimately governed by the laws of physics. For example, the contraction and relaxation of muscles, the flow of blood, and the transmission of signals by nerve cells.

Quantum physics is the study of matter and energy in the microscopic world, and quantum mechanics is the theory that explains these phenomena.

Viewing the human body from a quantum mechanical perspective is still in its early stages, but it presents very interesting possibilities. The fundamental particle that makes up the human body, the atom (with an atomic nucleus <protons and neutrons> at the center, surrounded by electrons), follows the laws of quantum mechanics.

A major concept in quantum physics is the non-locality principle. This is the concept that even if different particles are far apart, they influence each other due to the phenomenon of quantum entanglement (a peculiar phenomenon where even if they are far apart, they seem to be connected by a mysterious thread, influencing each other).

In other words, it means that they are connected not only spatially but also temporally as a single field. Therefore, it means that the past, present, and future are connected as one field.

Quantum entanglement

Living organisms, viewed through the lens of quantum mechanics, exist as if they are and are not. The molecular structure of water, which makes up most of the human body, consists of one oxygen atom and two hydrogen atoms forming a bent H-O-H shape. These atoms exist in a dead state on Earth and in the universe, but the moment oxygen and hydrogen atoms meet, they create water, the basis of life.

The theory of quantum mechanics can interpret phenomena that cannot be explained by the biological and physical worlds, although it seems to exist on Earth or in the universe but is invisible.

For example, water seems to be there, but it can disappear instantaneously through evaporation. However, it exists as hydrogen and oxygen atoms somewhere on Earth. Two people living far apart on Earth can feel the same thoughts or emotions simultaneously. This is called telepathy (a psychic ability to exchange thoughts and emotions between two people without using the five senses), and this phenomenon can also be explained by quantum mechanics.

The universe is full of dead atoms, but within it, atoms combine to create life matter instantaneously and then disappear instantaneously.

A human life, viewed as a quantum mechanical phenomenon, can be explained as a living organism instantaneously created from the combination of dead atoms in the universe.

Biologically, after fertilization, it grows into a fetus in the mother's womb and needs to breathe after leaving the womb. However, from a physics perspective, a person can be called an aggregate of atoms.

Atoms are eternal. The concept of "eternal life" is introduced in the Bible, and from the perspective of quantum mechanics, we can consider humans as eternally living beings. It's not a very difficult concept.

Without exception, all humans die from illness, accidents, and aging. People who directly experience this or their family and friends face such death and experience fear, sadness, etc. However, even though people cannot see it with the naked eye, if we can share stories about eternal life from the perspective of quantum mechanics regarding death, it can be comforting and allow us to embrace hope for the future.

Death, too, would be another journey into the providence of the universe. With this mindset, the concept of ‘eternal life’ spoken of in Christianity will become easily accessible to anyone. (Hebrews 11: 1, 3)

Hebrews 11

1. Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
(Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.)

3. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
